You gotta fight… for your right… to DICTATE

Kim Jong Il has passed and now we can celebrate.  Here’s one of my favorite t-shirts ever, because anytime you can join Beastie Boys with politics, you’ve done a good thing.

The Washington Redskins need to lose out all their games

We don’t talk about the Washington Redskins too often, because it’s the same story every year.  High expectations in the preseason coupled with low results on the field.  But the main problem with the Redskins is that we are perennially subpar, but never horribly bad.  We go 7-9 every season, which just puts us in limbo.  No playoffs, and no draft picks.  We need to just suck. Stop trying to win games, stop trying to stay in the middle of the pact, and just embrace the future.

Take a look at the Panthers. They sucked last year–and they got Cam Newton.  They suck this year, and they’ll get another few draft picks.  In two years, they’re going to have built a contending team.  Take note, Redskins.  Lose out the rest of your games, and don’t make excuses along the way.

Solving the Italian Debt Crisis

I realize that we specialize in making t-shirts, and not fixing government’s economic issues, but we’re going to chime in on this one, because it’s that easy.  I went to Italy last year to check out the Fashion Capital, and long before the whole debt issue flared up, it was apparent to me that the Italian economy is unsustainable.

Beyond all the fine leather, Prada bags, and Colosseums, is a cash based, unrecorded economy.  Estimates are that close to 30% of GDP is unreported, and untaxed.  Amounting to about 100 Billion Euros in taxes every year.  I’m pretty sure that they could put that 100 billion Euros to work.  For some reason no one’s really talking about this as being one of the underlying issues in Italy, and it boggles my mind.

The Solution: Crack down on unrecorded cash transactions, levy heavy penalties on infringers, and encourage/incentive companies and individuals to use credit cards.

That was easy. Now Italy, get back to making plazas and expensive clothing.  Stop adding to the turmoil in our economy.

Keep the Ratio Strong Remix

In tinkering with our Keep the Ratio Strong T-shirt, our main man/designer turned the shirt into the below image.  We had different ideas of what it looked like.  I think it looks like Mickey Mouse, mid threesome, looking for the light switch.  Thoughts?

Below is the original:

Mazel Tov T-shirt at Madison Square Garden

Friday night I went to the Enrique Iglesias Pitbull show to see… the guitarist for Enrique, of course.  We got hooked up with front row passes to watch the Latin heartthrob perform next to his famed guitarist.  It was really a great show, I didn’t realize how many songs Enrique has in his catalog–dating back to the Mid 90′s.

But the highlight of the show, was watching Alex get down on the git-down rocking his Mazel Tov t-shirt.  The shirt worked wonders at Madison Square Garden.  After the show, hordes of girls came up to him asking for his phone number and where he got his t-shirt.  Luckily I was standing next to him so I got his sloppy seconds.  (Disclaimer: Both of us have girlfriends, so me getting “sloppy seconds” is just me trying to sound like I got crazy boy band ass).

Watch the video–you can see why the Ladies Loved it–starting from around 1:45.

Happy Halloween

Halloween is one of the most fun nights of the year–and this year we have 3 of them.  Saturday night, Sunday night, and Monday night.  Which means if you’re a girl you get to dress up as both classics in one weekend–A devil and an angel.  I just found this picture of Mary Kate and Ashely Olsen from Halloween 2010.  Boy have they grown up.

rIp Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs was only 56 and he gave us so much.  More than just the products he created, Jobs ushered in a revolution in how we see, use, and think about technology.

I don’t own a single Apple product but am saddened by the loss and thankful for his genius.  I bet he’s upstairs, already redesigning and rethinking what it means to be in heaven.

RT @DJShnooms I’m a PC, but #rIpSteveJobsRIP Steve Jobs

Rain Rain GO AWAY

I’m sitting in Washington DC, writing this blog post. We don’t usually write about the weather, but this is a special occasion. It’s rained the entire week, Monday-Friday, nonstop downpours.  It’s come to the point that where, when it’s just drizzling, it feels like the rain has stopped.  I have never seen anything like this–usually rain comes, and then it goes.  For the last week, the rain has just forgotten to exit, stage left.

If you don’t live in DC, then here’s a little video that kind of captures the experience.
