All of these questions are valid, and with so many- we thought it was time to address them with a FAQ on our Custom Branded Face Masks.

Custom Branded Face Mask FAQs
We know what you’re thinking… What does a custom apparel company like Crooked Monkey know about cloth face masks? Well, three months ago- not too much. But as COVID-19 changed everything else, it did the same for our business, and here we are!
We have been sourcing many of our products from overseas for years, so when we were first made aware of the National PPE shortage, we knew that we needed to do what we could to help. We quickly began working with our connections from overseas and started sourcing N95 face masks to help the health institutions of our communities! With our new interest in face masks mixed with our immense love for a well-designed piece of custom apparel- custom civilian face masks were a no brainer!

Are the Custom Branded Face Masks Direct Substitutes for Medical-Grade Masks?
Our Custom Branded Face Masks come in a variety of different styles that offer different levels of protection. It is important to note that fabric masks are not a 1-to-1 substitute for N95 medical-grade masks. However, with those masks in short supply, it’s best to save them for front line workers who are putting their health at risk daily.
For most day-to-day civilian uses- like running to the grocery store or pharmacy, or working in an office space or coffee shop, a washable mask will protect you and those around you quite well. If you’re not a front line worker, we’d encourage opting for one of our styles of washable, reusable fabric masks.

Are the Masks in CDC Compliance?
Yes, all of Crooked Monkey’s Washable Reusable Mask inventory is in compliance with the recommendations made by the CDC for cloth masks.
Are All of the Masks Washable and Reusable?
100%. All of Crooked Monkey’s Custom Branded Face Masks are able to be washed and re-worn. However, two of our custom branded face masks- the filtered washable face mask and the filtered washable neck gaiter- come with a p.25 carbon filter for added protection that should be removed at the time of wash.
Can I use a Filter on the Tultex Masks?
Unfortunately, our Tultex mask does not come with a filter pocket option. If a filter is something that you are absolutely set on needing, we recommend our filtered washable face mask, or the filtered washable neck gaiter.
Does Crooked Monkey Offer Extra Filters?
Aside from the single P.25 carbon filters that comes with the purchase of both the filtered washable face mask and the filtered washable neck gaiter, we do not offer the purchase of extra filters. We suggest searching Amazon for P.25 Carbon Filters for your backups!
What are the Custom Branded Face Masks Made of?
We have five different adult size masks on our website, and they are made out of four different materials.
Our Filtered Washable Face Mask is made of 2 single layers of cotton, with a quilted middle layer, and a polyester outer layer. Our Tutltex Mask is made out of 100% cotton, our 2-Ply Custom Mask is made of both cotton and polyester, and the Next Level Apparel Mask is made of 70% recycled material.
If you are interested in a different style of protection, such as our Filtered Washable Neck Gaiter- those are made of 50% polyester, 25% ring spun cotton, and 25% rayon.
Is There a Difference in the Fabrics from a Safety Standpoint?
Research done by Cambridge University found that, while all of these materials do help in protection against the spread of the virus, 100% cotton fabric does the best job of filtering, and will be the most effective option.
Are There Parameters to Keep in Mind when Designing a Custom Branded Face Mask?
At Crooked Monkey, design is in our DNA and we pride ourselves on setting ourselves apart from the rest by offering the most detailed of customization options.
Though each of our reusable mask styles allow for the option of customization, two are much more thoroughly design friendly.
Both our Filtered Washable Face Mask and the Filtered Washable Neck Gaiter offer more opportunity for customization with the option for an all over single color print!
This is the perfect way to show off your logo in a way that is sure to be eye catching and memorable! In a sea of masks that all look the same, ensure you standout with one of our all over print custom branded face masks.
If you’re wanting to go the more simple route and are planning on printing your logo or graphic front and center on one of our face masks, the printable area will likely be about 3″ x 3″.
Will I be Able to Breathe Through the Print on My Mask?
Of Course! At Crooked Monkey, we specialize in water-based printing, a style in which the ink dyes the fabric of the material, rather than sitting on top of it.
So, instead of leaving a thick, crunchy print, you won’t even be able to feel the print on the material, making it just as breathable as it would be if there was no print at all.
Are There Any Custom Branded Face Mask Styles for Kids?
When we first began producing our custom branded face masks, we didn’t really think a bout the need for a child size. After time passed and we had been contacted multiple times for branded face masks small enough to fit a child, we knew we needed to deliver. By popular demand, Crooked Monkey is now offering a child size of our custom branded masks.
The Next Level Apparel Youth Face Mask comes in a variety of colors and is made of a moisture wicking fabric that is washable, breathable, and eco-friendly- made of 70% recycled material.
Is There A MOQ for Custom Branded Face Masks?
Just like the rest of our custom apparel inventory, our branded face masks as well require a minimum order quantity. This MOQ differs by the style of mask and can be found in each of the item descriptions. For our more premium masks you can expect an MOQ of 300, for our Middle Grade Masks you can expect an MOQ of 200, and our least premium style has an MOQ of 100.
Can I Order Blank Face Masks?
Currently, the only washable + reusable face masks we offer the option for blanks of is the Tultex and the Next Level Apparel Adult Face Mask.

What is the Expected Delivery Time for Custom Branded Face Masks?
Depending which Crooked Monkey Custom Branded Mask you choose will identify your delivery time.
Our more premium masks with an all over print usually take about 3-4 weeks for delivery, while our less premium styles are usually delivered anywhere form 1-2 week.
How Will my Custom Branded Face Masks come Packed?
All Crooked Monkey Custom Face Masks come packed separately in plastic bags with instructions to make distribution as easy as possible for our customers!
Can you send our masks to the homes of our employees?
Yes. Although you are responsible for the extra shipping charges, it is no problem for us to address each mask directly to the homes of your team!
